B18B engine, one of the rarest Volvo classic sports cars
Affectionately known as Benny (the other guy in ABBA).
One happy lady-driver for last 7 years.
Benny hasn’t skipped a beat in the last 7 years. He was my first classic car. I wanted a car that would be, first and foremost reliable and then the gateway to good times on classic car rallies with enthusiasts. The car has been so much more than that. He has provided me so much joy on 6 x Werk1 Rallye meets. Rallye destinations have been ex-Sydney to Tasmania, Adelaide Hills, multiple NSW & Victorian Alpine Country trips along with long weekends in Byron Hinterland. Benny has been a bandit for the roads and brought so many smiles to many faces. Young and old have found themselves appreciating the Amazon series elegance, speed and rich history of the car.
The car was driven by Mike Batten (NSW Rally Champion and Legend Race Driver) in Targa Tasmania 2011 & 2016, along with Eastern Classic in 2013.
Parting with Benny is a sweet sorrow. Our time together has been a life-enriching blast. My life’s new format requires consolidation of assets. And it’s time for Benny to bring joy to another Volvo classic enthusiast and custodian.
Car comes with hard to beat NSW rego plates- 123GTS elevating his iconic status.
Benny has been comprehensively serviced every year of my ownership. I also have receipts and service logs from previous custodians of this very special vehicle.

1964 Volvo 122S
Bittersweet sale of my daily driver! I use this little beauty as my daily driver, but now due to my retirement do not need a car to get to work.
This car is fun to drive. The gear shifts very nice and smooth, the brakes are great, responsive clutch, and actually has cold air conditioning.
The exterior colour is really cool - when my car is in different light it changes colour from spectrums of purple, navy, to black. Sweet red interior.
This has a been a great daily driver and has allowed me to have lots of discussions with people and kids about classic cars.
In the sale of my car I can include a deal I made with my mechanic which is 10% off of Phoenix eVolv parts - they have everything I've ever needed.
Will be bringing it to the Volvo National Rally in Tamworth so check it out for yourself or a friend.
