National Volvo Rally 2026

The Volvo 1800–120 Club of Australia is thrilled to announce the next National Meet of Volvo cars in Australia!

The event will take place in Tamworth, New South Wales, over the Easter weekend from 3rd – 6th April 2026.

This exciting rally is open to all Volvo owners and clubs. along with a great social event we will also celebrate:

The 60th Anniversary of the 140 Series, and
The 40th Birthday of the Volvo 1800-120 Club.

The rally will feature action-packed Volvo-themed activities and events. The Easter holiday period has been chosen to allow participants ample time to travel to Tamworth on Good Friday (or earlier) and return home on Easter Monday.

Event Schedule

Good Friday, 3rd April 2026

3:00pm - 4:00pm: Registrations commence. Look out for the official registration point at the EVENT CENTRE – Mercure Hotel, 22 Kent Street, Tamworth and grab your Rally Pack
6:00pm: Meet ‘N’ Greet Dinner at the EVENT CENTRE – Mercure Hotel, 22 Kent Street, Tamworth
- 6:00pm for a Buffet Dinner
- Special presentation

Easter Saturday, 4th April 2026

Daytime: Various social and touring excursions. There are a few choices for Easter Saturday, however some of you may want to ‘just relax’, no pressure, let us know if you’d like to participate in one of the following events
Choice 1
- Coach Trip - Cancelled (due to low take up)
Choice 2
- Relax, unwind and rest in the morning then take your classic out for a 30 minute drive to Bendemeer, Enjoy lunch at the hotel, nestled on the banks of the MacDonald River.
Choice 3
- Do your own thing. Remain in Tamworth and visit the numerous local attractions like:
  - Australian Country Music Hall of Fame - Link
  - The Powerstation museum - Link
  - Tamworth Regional Gallery - Link
  - Country Music Wax Museum - Link
  - National Guitar Museum - Link
  - The Powerhouse Motorcycle Museum - Link
  - Lunch at one of the many pubs or cafés in town
  - Drive to the Oxley Scenic Lookout for panoramic views

Show and Shine at the White Street (Bicentennial) Car Park. The on-site kiosk serves great food and coffee.
7:45am - 8:45am: Dive to White Street Car Park, Bicentennial Park. Use the entry at the roundabout cnr White Street & Kable Avenue, Tamworth
8:00am to 2:00pm: Show and Shine Display
- The venue for the show’n’shine has great activities for children & adults, it also features a kiosk/restaurant & bar serving good food and coffee, takeaway or dine in.
- Official judging, including People’s Choice Awards
- Photo opportunities
- Professional group photos
6:00pm: Dinner and Trophy Presentation at the EVENT CENTRE – Mercure Hotel, 22 Kent Street, Tamworth
- 3 Course Dinner
- Trophy presentation

The Volvo 1800-120 Club has arranged a selection of accommodation options for rally participants. Rooms have been reserved under the name VOLVO CLUB, and participants are encouraged to book as soon as possible.

Entry Fee

The subsidised rally entry fee is $75 and includes a rally kit including commemorative grille badge, rally expenses, show and shine, trophies and activities.
